Hello,
Welcome to the web designing industry. Well, how you choose to charge for your work is up to you, if your working alone. How much you should charge would depend on what type of web you are doing, whether it's a static or a dynamic website, whether it will have additions such as flash intros, database intergration, etc.
Quite a few companies charge on a page-by-page basis, but I feel that it would be better to just analyse what the client requires and give them a quote based on their specific requirements and not to tell them that "You'll do 10 pages for RMxxx.xx". This is because different clients have different needs. How much you charge is up to you, but a quality website design should fetch 'at least' RM800.
However, the price of your service will greatly depend on your skill & experience. Do you have a portfolio?
Another thing, your service should be fast, before you do anything, make sure you agree on a timeframe for the project to be completed in.
