alang: your site is not slow. That's why i said it is lite theme.
The default theme of mambo is graphic heavy.
BTW, one more reason I don't use mambo is because it is still lack of documentation! I cannot modify it according to my needs... :/
If it has completed the documentation, then I may use it.
