i think the suggestion to insert Adsense in the middle of the blog is a fantastic idea - give a try.

Google now allows up to 3 Adsense codes in one page. So why not one for header, middle and footer ...

And here's one more thought. To get loyal readership, try opt-in emails. Once in a while give them updates on latest blog and discussion that is going on ... and here's a tip - offer a gift for the opt-in
