People only click if they are really interested about it and find out the details. So ads placement, type of ads, ad design and audience target is very important in this narrow ad.

Back to old school theory of advertising; newspaper for example. AirAsia advertise small sizes at the bottom (we will only look at it when we want to buy tickets). While Malaysia Airlines ads full page on the other section, how many will actually read it?

There are many types of advertisement. One of them is a direct approach for sales just like AirAsia. Another one, is a reminder. IF we bring 2 of these sample online, people will click on AA instead of MA but they will see through MA offer (they won't click). What do you think of my opinion?

Online ad placement if placed on the right side have greater effects than placing them on the left as our mouse curser keeps moving to the right. The same goes if placed at the centre and the bottom. Ad placed on the top have lower effects.

Just ask yourself, why would you click on ads and where? Our own answer might be the same as majority internet users
