In launch with a new category, I would like to stir up a discussion on how do we, the webmasters promote our blog? (I'm sure everyone and his cat have a blog right?).
Few of my ways are:
1) Ping! Use multiple pinging services like
Pingoat and
Pingomatic to let people know when you have a new posts.
2) Trackback, and link a lot to other people's blog. This will get you notice by other people, and make the people's blog that you linked at, come to you. And, I click on those links once in a while to get notice.
3) Claim the blog at
Technorati, fill in with tags. Millions of users are searching technorati everyday. With the correct tags, your blog can be easilys searched by other people.
4) Comment at others blog. Join in the discussion in others people blogs. "No Blog Is An Island"!
And likely, others will join in the discussion in your own blog.
