Though I'm not hosting with Exabytes, I'm familiar with their emails to customers. I'm quite impressed that they actually inform customers of schedule downtime weeks in advance. And in the event of unexpected downtime, like what happened to servers in MyLoca recently, customers are informed almost immediately. I'm sure their superior customer service and attractively priced hosting packages will make them one of the major hosting providers world wide.
Now some of you may wonder why am I plugging for Exabytes. Actually I wanted the dudes from my local hosting companies to read this and hopefully make them buck up a bit.
As to why I'm not hosting with Exabytes, here're the reasons:
- I dont like pricing tricks. Says RM149 but it's actually RM199.
- I think their servers are slow. I've not done any real tests but every time I visit this forum, I feel like pulling my hairs out bcos its so slow. Maybe it's bcos of the fancy forum software which I notice kept on making connections even when I leave it idle.
One last thing - I think their recent multi-tiered coupon marketing campaign sucks. It's not a very pleasant experience punching in codes one after another only to find out at the end that all the good coupons have "expired".

hello sauerkraut,
Thank you for your feedbacks.
Would like to add on some of the comments that you have made:
1) Regarding the pricing trick, we do not intend to create any trick here. It's stated clearly in our site that says "Paid 2 years (best value!)".
Malaysia Linux Web Hosting by Exabytes
2) Slow connection to this forum may have been caused by:
- Server is performing backup (at night)
- Network problems
3) One last thing - I think their recent multi-tiered coupon marketing campaign sucks. It's not a very pleasant experience punching in codes one after another only to find out at the end that all the good coupons have "expired".
>> Thank you for your feedback. We appreaciate it. Actually, this concept is based on first come first served basis. So, if client is a bit late, it's common that good coupons have expired. Still, we truly appreciate your feedback.
