I think we should segregate the issue of internet business model and the methods of attracting traffic. As what I have read in this thread so far, probably this two things have been mixed up, correct me, if I am wrong.
I agree with Jawa that that commercially it is no risk no reward, so newbie should not be afraid of trying out methods which require investment in terms of money and time. So long as we set a budget for that in particular financial wise.
Having said so, I think it is also very crucial for newbie to acquire the basic skills mentioned by Yong in his earlier post.
Some of the ebooks I have read advised that for newbie starting out in internet business, they should start from affiliate marketing selling other people's products instead of creating their own products. I think this is more on the model of internet business, rite?
But in order to succeed, newbie has to learn how to attract traffic, that basically involves marketing and hence google adwords, email marketing and etc...
So in total, newbies have to :-
a) decide on the model of internet business (preferably affiliate marketing)
b) start learning methods of promoting in order to succeed
It the above conclusion correct?
