i know what the nameserver do and the A, CName, MX records are just translation from name to ip... but that not what i looking for. actually what i'm wondering here is does the domain registrar nameserver(overseas one, where we purchase our domain) could bring some negative effect when its down.

nevermind... i think i found my answer already... its all depends on how well the domain name propagated and cache within the nameserver in our country... there still have a chance of not locating our domain if the overseas registrar when capult or outbound link terminated.

the reason for this question is to provide my customers' a very solid answers on when to choose a ".com.my" or ".com" name based on their biz model and geographical market segment...
