you're comparing plastic camera with sub-par quality kit lense with Nikon D80.
if you throw away your kit lense, and get another Canon Lense that cover D80's 18-135 range with comparable quality, it could easily cost you around RM1300.
so now your 400D costs you RM4300.
yet, the sad thing is, you're still left with a plastic body SLR.
now compare the price between Canon's flash and Nikon's SB800...
