If not base on SE traffic, then have to heavily spend $ on advertising. How much do you spend per month on marketing campaign?

Your target is too low that's why you work less and hope you can get that amount consistently...may God help you.

Aim big like USD10,000 per month consistently, than you will work more to achieve that. Earning from ppc, selling text links will not get you to that amount. For us ( affiliate marketers) - earning from ppc is just a bonus. there cannot be considered as main income cause ppc (adsense for example) is not consistent. What happen if you get banned?
You need to scale your income.
