Many years ago, there was a push for technology transfer. That is how Proton started off with Japanese involvement. Why can't Proton tie up with overseas companies doing such new innovations as it will benefit us all in the long run.

Companies like Petronas have more than enough funds to participate in such technology. They seem to have lots of money to sponsor F1 team. Those race cars uses fuel and go round in circles. I think they are working on some new type of engine, bio-diesel or something? But something like a hybrid or air-powered engine may be more useful to us all.

i don't think companies like petronas will funds such fuel replacement RnD... if their core income is replaced... then where is their money come in.... its all bout $$$$

air car, water car, hydrogen car, solar car, electric car tech are well establish today but sad to say that they can't gain much support from the industrial giants coz is all about $$$ again....

infact electric car is already developed by some car manufacturer like honda, toyota, etc and now undergo testing phase in some overseas country.... Google even participated in this matter... seee RechargeIT.org
