yeah, regarding a web for my little virtual office service business, i do think of having a website for it. my idea is to have a web where my clients will be able to check their info such as details of usage, emails, message alert (for mail, fax and clients call-in, etc.) and also to provide them an advertisement space.

however, there are few things which maybe webmasters can advice me.
[1] how do i promote my web if i have one? do i need to spend on like advertising through newspaper or something?

[2] i asked before the price for setting up a website, there is someone who quoted me around RM 350 per page. is it expensive? and there is another one i saw where this guy is charging RM 98 annually, but have to pay for at least 5 years. is there any standard rate for developing a website?

Dude. I have been using servcorp (www.servcorp.net) for some years now and they have proved useful during my visits to KL. But this figure you mentioned is pretty cheap compared to what i am paying for now. But their service has been top notched.

Before you get all excited and try to promote your services online it might be an idea that you get the ball rolling on your website. There is nothing like a clear and concise message you want to put forward to your prospective client. It does not have to be a knock out presentation. Perhaps a front page with all the basic info you need and some emails instead of 'free' one's.

I know that you must have a pretty tight budget but the thing is if you want to sign up clients you have to gain some of their confidence. Invest into a website to get your message across. I am pretty sure that if you were to beg, plead and fake a few tears someone might just offer you some hosting space in return to some free advertising on your site.

no doubt servcorp is quality and luxury in providing this kind of services. in fact, they are one of the leading virtual office service providers not only in Malaysia, but many other countries.

thats a pretty good idea to provide email services to my clients as well. actually i've met few web designers and their charges are way beyond the price that i can afford. there's one charging me around RM 3,000 for a website. and few as i mentioned in earlier posts. anyway, im in the midst of searching for a good web developer. hopefully can get the web done as soon as possible. then maybe i can post it up here to get some opinions from you guys...
