Hmm, I feel foreign...
...if I was at home^h^h^h^h^h^h^h* in the country that issues my passport, nobody (well, maybe Hello! magazine) would be criticising M for his window-dressing. If the Malaysian net has a problem, it's excess of image and lack of content. I'm not sure that's even restricted to the online media. In my view, it's been such a long time since Malaysians had access to conflicting points of view that many of you have lost the habit of critical reading and have just been admiring the pictures. If that seems rude, it's meant to be helpful. Critical thinking is the best defence against systematic abuse.
You can criticise his style, that's popular - his international reputation is typically megalomaniac or tyrant - but he's also regarded as almost single-handedly bringing about the modernisation of Malaysia. He is one of the few Malaysians whose name used abroad won't bring the "who?" response. When he speaks or writes, there are a lot of Malaysians listening or reading. They may mostly belong to an age-group younger Malaysians might regard as irrelevant, but they wield a great deal of power. Probably his only criterion for choosing a blogging platform was 'have I heard of it?', or 'most popular?', or 'has wealthiest owner?'. Writing a blog on an experimental host, or one with distracting bells and whistles, when his most influential readers just want to see his words would have been silly. For an old bloke that was in charge once and still has influence, blogspot is the sensible choice. *I am at home: home is where my (Malaysian) wife and children are. I'm the only foreigner in my home! Hey, why no <strike> or <del>?

about dr m, they are really truthful I'm talking about Raja Petra and his blog... those are the judgement.. Karpal Singh & Co also could be in ISA later... they must stop asking why ? would ? when ? how ? else, there could be in difficult way to understand Malaysia Rules If they don't majoring in LLB, they should be true politician defensive.. I met some management guys
from Pos Malaysia a while back, to explain about an osCommerce shipping module I wrote. I really wanted them to understand what it was doing, so they could say they didn't mind me doing it: it was a proxy quotation module, just retrieved a quotation from their online calculator, but didn't show any of their branding or other guff.
They stared at me a while, and then said "We can't get your ... slang. Your slang, your accent, too strong." I grew up on the Thames Estuary, but spent most of my adult life in the North West of England, lecturing at a Uni, so I had previously thought my accent was fairly neutral. My wife saw my difficulty and waved her hands "where got problem? Do it like this, jam-jam ah", knocking her fists into each other. She went on like that for a couple of minutes and their eyes lit up "Aah, I see, that's what you should have said!" said one of them. I didn't have a clue what she was on about. Oh, I'm off topic. To be honest, I don't fully understand canagdesigner, but maybe we ought to stick to Dr M's blog, or we'll make WMM's admins nervous! Still, Raja Petra, ISA, Karpal Singh all on one page should be good for SEO...

where your accent are in Boston or middle england.. the situation in Malaysia itself is diffcult to understand, afraid to speak.. as matter fact, blogging are the news alternative... it creates a huge people thinker... like you and yourselves.. blogspot is a pretty good platform...but dr.m sure need some experience in blogging and maybe hire some to moderate comment and unrelated chat

I think Blogger image storage is automatically linked to Picasa web albums (through your Google Account).. which has a 1GB storage space limit.
Anyone with blogspot site(s) can try to login to Picasa with your google account >> http://picasaweb.google.com ... your images for all your blogs are actually stored there. Last edited by yonghs; 03-06-2008 at 06:50 PM.

Basically they are just riding on the new media - blogging.
In fact, most of the politicians who blog are quite new to this and only knew to use blogger to create their new blog. Sooner or later, they will realise they need to find a good blog platform for blogging. I have wrote a review about politicians blog, do check out my review on Che Det blog here.
