Blog software
What's the best open source/free blog software in your opinion? "Best" in terms of you like it the most, either it is easy to setup, easy to use, easy to customize, etc.

I'm not an expert in blog software but there are a huge number of bloggers using wordpress.
You may want to consider that. BTW, alang uses wordpress..

personally i prefer textpattern although it doesn't have as many plugins developed comparing with wordpress and mt.

yes, textpattern is better performance than WP and MT. But, it is not sighficant if your site is not slashdotted, i mean getting VERY VERY MUCH traffic.

Desktop Blogging - you can also use wBloggar, which can interface with a lot of blog systems, blogger, wp, mt, etc ...
