Have you ever wondered that which software is being used on the sites like WordPress.com » Get a Free Blog Here to host free WordPress blogs??

WordPress MU is the script that they use to host free blogs. It is still in the testing stages and not yet that Stable. They themselves are not recommending it's use for minors. If you are experienced in PHP coding and complex application management, and also if you want to provide free blog hosting then you should consider giving it a try

well, I am looking for web hosting(not dedicated server) that support WordPress MU virtual domain name.

If I can find a few people I might try this Wordpress MU thing.

You mean supporting the feature of : http://XXXXXX.blogname.com (XXXX as in the blogger's selected URL)?

I tried and failed too on several hosts. End up using http://blog.blogname.com/XXXX .

is it simple as the standard wordpress.
