Thread: How To Upload Theme To Wordpress?

Can someone show me how can I upload theme to my wordpress blog?

Using FTP. Upload the theme to wp-content/themes/[upload themes folder here]

is ftp required?

The answer depends on your hosting service. You can upload the theme via FTP into the corresponding directory, or you can do it vía online file manager.

I don't remember if WordPress has the ability to upload their own themes, but you can edit those already available, so if your service does not allow uploading, you can open the them you like and paste the style into one of the already installed.

but WATCH OUT!... make a copy of your actual style before editing a theme, and if your them has images, anyway you need to upload them anywhere and amend the layout to reflect the path where the images are hosted.

sadly, those available themes now are uneditable..

If your wordpress is hosted by yourself, it's can be edit.

is it right? then, how am i going to edit the header pic?

you cannot upload into any of wordpress.com blog.
but you still can edit avalaible theme little bit.

login = presentation = edit CSS file.
header image can be change thru stylesheet (css) file.
(warning! : dont you ever dare to ask me - what is the code to change the header image) .

If you're not on your own host then you can't upload a theme to Wordpress.

I'm live in Klang. So anybody can I meet face to face to learn all this annoying matters? Learn this things by reading just waste my gold time. I wanna make it short in blogging, in anything! So anybody anybody can spend their time for me?
