Not too sure if this has been posted here before, but I found an interesting article by Jakob Nielsen which might be useful to bloggers. The article is titled Weblog Usability: The Top Ten Design Mistakes.

that's a good guidance. though, some of the aspect are a bit technical such as the link title. as wel all know, most link do not have titles and its not easy to implement either

And a word of caution, Jakob Nielsen's guidelines of usability is holistic. In other words, it doesn't balance the requirements of design along with the usability thinking he talks about.

So as my lecturer once said, take it with a pinch of salt.
