Hi all,
currently i start using wordpress, previously i am using blogger.com lot of peple said wordpress are more feature. may be i not so familiar on it, i face some problem.

in blogspot/blogger, i can save the posting as draft, may be after few days only i publish, i have a option to choose the publishing date, by default will be the date it create, but i can change the date to the date that i publish at the "post option" part. in wordpress, i not able to do it, any have idea?

if u wanna save it as a draft just click the save button. there is only 2 button there. 'save' and 'publish'. when u click save it will automatically save ur post as a draft.

then after that, if u wanna get back to ur post n publish it, just go to manage>post. u'll see ur post there..

u can edit it again or publish the post

and another thing, if u wanna change ur post date.. just look at the couples of box at the right.. plenty of option there

hi guys, in the blogger.com, we able to change the layout. we can add and arrange the page element, put in HTML code, adjust it to be on top or on bottom. would WP able to do it? i wanna to put a chat box there.

when in the admin, at the "presentation", there's one "theme editor", u can try from there

but for i will download the php file and change directly and upload it :P

hi..i have some problem here, i didn get any tools bar on editing the word size, i have to manually change in html on the <font>

other then this, i see a tools bar call "split post with more text", i have test play on it , seen like no function when i see the preview, what is the purpose actually?

after 3days of struggle with wp and php and mysql... i finally manage to put in a basic 3col wp blog for my customer.... but i still left two things to settle which i need help from you guys....

1. how can i show only a few para of a post in the index page and have wording like "Read the rest of this entry »" which link to the full page of the articles. For example: its exatcly same as yip boonage blog indexpage post 5th Apr.

2. the server is a windows and IIS, how can i change the permalink structure so that it display a friendly url instead of just showing post number...
example:
currently showing are http://www.mywill.com.my/wills/?p=12
i want to change to: http://www.mywill.com.my/wills/archi...postname-here/

i can change it in my local Apache hosting but it don't work in IIS hosting....

the url of this blog is http://www.mywill.com.my/wills/
