I do not mind if exabytes sell at RM 55 if I'm the consumer.
You got to know that everything come with cost. So, the direct cost (the domain cost) + hidden cost + profit margin = RM 55. Please remember this is PER YEAR payment. So, Exabytes making RM 20 profit annually for a domain.

This industry is going to be a really low price industry rather than fight for quality. Consumer want everything from the hosting provider without giving them a good profit margin. To me exabytes give a really good offer (hosting + domain + staff support + hardware + bandwitdh + knowledge + time) for a fraction of your monthly salary.

from a consumer point of view, of course price is one of the main consideration when purchasing something. unlike a webhosting service where after sales service and performance comes first while domain registration doesn't bundle with these.

I was going to buy a domain for 5 years registration so upon calculation, that would add up like another RM100 for that domain alone.

Free URL Forwarding, Free e-mail forwarding and Free DNS services are included with .com, .net, .org, .us, .biz, .info domain name registrations and transfers. now...I found out that its not only cheaper, but you also have more control.

The cheap pricing is only from ICANN registrar. However, for webprovider, we must purchase a reseller pricing.

What the different ?

1. You buy at namecheap.com, yes it is cheap. But if you buy for your client, can you give them control panel to manage the domain ?

2. Reseller account means that we can give control panel to our customers.

End-user domain scheme :
Namecheap.com ---> you ----> your client (no control panel)
Registrar

Webprovider scheme
Directi.com/enom.com --> hosting comp. ---> you (with control panel) ---> your client

but most web provider was also charging domain registration below RM40.
sorry that i am not really know how things work upon the cost to the web provider in registering each domain
as a no web techie consumer, I would only bother about the price

2. Place a "Domain Registrar Transfer" order with Namecheap.
