iamfreelancer surely point out the dead lock situation...
2 parties engaging in this kind of transaction is very risky... wonder if anyone out there provide escrow service...It's niche if someone establish one especially for domain name :P off course with small amount of SO(service charge) -Don't pay for something you haven't receive -Don't give something if your'e not paid for it yet If your location is near to the buyer, then the transaction should be easier cause you can deal face-to-face and on the spot with the person.. Maybe the registrar of the domain can play some minor role in the process of transaction. You can contact them and express the situation and the need for the registrar as 3rd party to make sure the confirmation of money transaction and domain transfer is running smoothly(although I haven't done such stuff)... |

kalau small amount, can do private transaction.
kalau RM1,000 or more, use escrow -- they usually take 10% or lower, but with a certain minimum around $50 as a fee. or just use trusted party. anybody know if Malaysia has local escrow service for lower cost. $50 mahal ma. RM50 xpe larr. |

for local, every bank have provide "bank guarantee" service...
some thing like bank be the middle person who hold the money, once the receiver receive the sender stock and satisfy, receiver will inform bank to release money to sender Sender=seller receiver=buyer there are some fees there, but i dono how much is that.

Selling domains to strangers
Escrow service, bank guarantee, etc are costly. Not economical unless big bucks are involved.
I didn't encounter any difficulties when selling about 5 domains to strangers (between USD100 to USD500 each) the past two years. The last one was SEOgeek.com. There was a bit of a problem when trying to sell 1stGirl.com because some big bucks were involved. I prefer to sell it locally. Anybody interested in 1stGirl.com and AdsenseForDummies.com? AdsenseForDummies.com is going to be a hot property because a book entitled "Adsense For Dummies" by Wiley will be out soon. Google had expressly indicated via an email that Adsense ads were not allowed at that site. Last edited by Ainuddin; 06-11-2007 at 01:23 AM. |
