Sorry Im just sorta really new and wondering apart from the whois proof, what else does the hosting company should be providing me once I have purchased a domain?

if you get a domain from the same company as your hosting...you should be able to login into your admin panel and setup your email, and ftp.

Then upload your homepage using ftp program to "public_html" folder

walla....your homepage is done!

what if, if it is just a domain name?

Normally you will at least get:-

• Full WHOIS Control
• Full DNS Control
• A & MX Records Control
• Domain Locking & EPP Key
• Domain Registrar Change
• Unlimited Parked Domains

Some even let you configure your own nameservers as well as Whois protection.

I would recommend eNom and NameCheap.

RM55 is so expensive...

For me I recommended you register you domain in mydomain.com, by using coupon code " htmli.info " which will lead u to get 15% discount. The second choice for me is moniker.com, they are secure but the price is a bit higher, which is USD 10.44

you will get a control panel for your domain name, control over the DNS is the main function.

if you which to start a website, the next thing is look for hosting. Hosting do provide the Nameserver, such as ns7.hostingcompany.com
