I run this registrar-partnered site: http://WhoiS.WS and taruh harga yg paling rendah allowed for including for .biz/.info/.us/.ws tapi as required by respective registries, 2-tahun minimum la.

At this time: 8.75/yr for all of them besides .ws. Somehow PEC-GDI/WorldSite.WS (the only registry/registrar) raised minimum price requirement recently.

Takkan naik harga for renewal unless dipaksa oleh registry punya (unlike most other competetive pricing registrars/resellers).

If you want to skip the hassle of managing your own name server and run sites on free hosts, some features by the registrar macam redirecting/forwarding & masking and email forwarding would be good to have. I offer free forwarding kat http://WhoiS.WS . email/masking tu starts 9.95/yr.

Kalau host domain dan website kat paid hosts, usually, all these features including actual mapping of your domain name on IP# on server is done by your host, thus bundled package including disk space and email. So, tak perlu all these from your registrar. (Why pay double?)

Some criteria to consider:
1. will the registrar raise price for renewal? It's such a hassle to pay minimally for your 1st year, and much more next year, or have to move registrar.

2. Domain locking, and auto-renewal prevents are added protections to prevent hijacking. Some registrars offer this for a fee (free kat site aku).

3. Do this registrars charge any fees for transfer of ownerships? Some registrars do, some up to 100s of dollars.

4. Any hassle if you're to migrate registrars? i had some bad experience with netsol, register.com and stargate.

5. Control panel - senang tak nak modify contact info, protect it, and change nameservers.

ni aku ada masalah sikit ni pasal nak beli domain dan hosting.

setelah aku survey domain terbaik beli kat www.adcipta.net banggalah sikit sebab syarikat malaysia ....

tapi hosting terbaik adalah www.kingofhosting.com .....

tapi dua2 ada kelebihan dan kelemahan .....

contoh macam kingofhosting ... aku dah ada satu akaun ... and support dia ok ... sebab cepat je terbalas dlm email aku ...
kelebihan yang mereka ada ni UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH ... tu yang best tu .... cuma kalau nak ada php, asp (240mb) rm 199 a year ... kalau basic kosong webspace tu je rm 99 (120mb)

I'd say 20MB is too small if that's your only account, not just for a small website. Your emails would also be limited with that quota.

So, you'd end up paying rm250 with adcipta for decent space. Add a domain name (not included), that's nearly rm300.


issues to consider:
1. personal recommendation from existing customer
2. reliability (uptime, speed).
3. support (knowledgable staffs?)
4. extra/hidden charge for installing SSL for instance
5. setup fees? trial period?
6. add-ons on control panel
