trasnfer domain to yahoo with $1.99 - 19-04-2008, 12:09 PM

any one transfer to yahoo before.

I was using the promotion link which offer $1.99 for domain registration, I transfer domain there, but yahoo does not require me to put in authorization code (at the moment).

I do receive a email from yahoo stated :

Activating Your Domain Name
When you signed up for your plan, you chose to use princewave.com, an existing domain that you purchased through another registrar, with your new service. Please note that your domain is pending. Pending means that the name server changes to your domain are not yet active across the Internet, and your domain is not yet associated with your Yahoo! plan. Learn more.

In order to use this domain with your service, you will need to contact your original domain registrar, such as Network Solutions, and request that your name servers be changed to associate your domain with Yahoo! This process is called redelegation. (Please note that redelegation is not a registrar transfer; Yahoo! will not become your domain registrar. Learn more.)

You will not be able to use your domain with your Yahoo! service until you complete the redelegation process. We recommend that you contact your registrar as soon as possible to change your name servers. Learn how.

in this email, the red color high light make me feel confuse, any one have experience about this?

This is why sometimes it is not worth it to try to find the cheapest thing. After all you save approx RM20 per year from the normal prices. I'm sure most of us spend (or waste) more than that on other unnecessary things during a year. Skip a couple of cups of coffee at coffee houses or couple of meals at a fast food joint per year instead.

For me, i have different thinking. One I have tested, althought have wasted some money, but i gain experience.

For this experience, i might share to others. Possible more people won drop into this trap.

Transfer out is not an issue, just like normal transfer, but do take note 1 important, after you trasnfer out, remember to close that domain service at your yahoo account. If you did not close it, yahoo will stupidly charge you $9.95 again although your domain is no longer there.

This is my experience on yahoo, hope this info can save you out from the trap.

I am sure if you Google about this, you can find info on it and so don't need to experience it yourself. Not everything we need to experience ourself before we learn about it or know what is good or bad.

However, thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I disagree with your statement, yes, you are right, we can find a lot of information over google, but all the information are come from people who "EXPRIENCE" before.

as you mention Not everything we need to experience ourself before we learn about it or know what is good or bad.
If every one did not "intend" to try out some thing, where the information or EXPERIENCE come from???

What I meant was that we can learn from other people's experience by searching for into using Google.
