How to register a Locked domain name?

hi all,

I found a expired domain name (expired in Dec 2003) and wish to register it but the status is LOCKED.

How do we reigster a locked domain name? when will it be unlocked?

must wait until the domain registrar release the domain 1st.... ermmm 30 - 60days

saya pernah menunggu satu domain supaya drop selama 2 tahun.
huh.. sabar ajerlah.. punyalah lama tuh

jadi, mungkin domain yang awak hendak tunggu tu dilock selama 2 tahun. Kira nasib lah~

If you really wanted it, backorder it... You'll still have to wait till the domain gets released, but you'll have a better chance of getting it if the domain does get released.

A good domain is not x10, it might go to x10000

I even try to order a Domain for my client, where the domain is own by someone. But the Domain not been use.

He told me "No 20k, no need to talk"

My case is Expired domain name, no need to get previous owner permission if he/she does not renew in the locking period.

I know there are domain name hijacker to do this for living. Therefore we have domain lock.

I shall wait for the domain name to be unlock. It has expired over one month...

Most registrars have a "grace period" after domain names have expired. During that grace period, the original owner still can renew the domain. After the grace period, some domain registrar will delete it immediately, some will release it after awhile, it depends....

Just keep watching it if you dont want to spend extra money to use service like snapname.
