WARNING: Endless questions ahead.
Someone please enlighten me. This is somewhat related to my previous post.
I am reading "Choosing a Domain Name" by MYNIC. Under the first headline Top-Level Domain:
Immediately below, under Second-level domain it says that one of the domains available for registration is com.my.MYNIC does not register other forms of domain names such as:
www.abc.com.my
abc.bcd.com.my
abc.my
Question No. 1: What's the difference between www.abc.com.my and abc.com.my?
Question No. 2: If MYNIC doesn't register abc.my, then how do websites like www.jaring.my and www.utm.my come into being?
Question No. 3: If MYNIC doesn't register abc.bcd.com.my, how come there is camera.canon.com.my?
Question No. 4: (Probably should be Q No.1) Is there any other .my registrar besides MYNIC?
Question No. 5: How do I, if at all possible, register my own .my domain (e.g. www.unclejim.my)?
At first glance, I thought the new name.my domain is the answer to this. It actually means something like unclejim.name.my. So...
Question No. 6: What is the marketability of name.my? I don't find it attractive at all. Ok, it's for personal use but I wonder who will sign up for this.
If the answer to these questions is "well, MYNIC can choose what and who they want to register as they please" then my response is... oh, well.
Question No. 7: What's the meaning of life?
