how to get my domain back
i have a domain name..
it will expired by this end of year... i buy it from 3rd party company.. then the company close.. i cannot get contact anymore with that company..how can i get back my domain name?

Do whois and check who is the registrant of the domain name.
You are safe if the domain is register under your name. If you are listed as your administrative contact that would be great too. Do you mind informing us the domain name. Other board members would give you help and suggestion. Normally web hosting companies are only authorised reseller of certain registars. Registrars would never be bankrupt since they have to prove their business account with ICANN and only selected companies are selected. Do a whois seach and check the main registar of the domain name. Contact the registar tell them that their reseller no more doing business. Open a support ticket if you have to. I suggest you better solve the problem soon as possible to avoid losing your domain name. Good luck

Correct. It is important to have ownership of the administrative contact email. Registrars normally verify domain ownership with that email.

Whois Server: whois.OnlineNIC.com Referral URL: http://www.OnlineNIC.com Name Server: NS1.AD-DEEN.COM Name Server: NS2.AD-DEEN.COM Status: ACTIVE Updated Date: 23-apr-2004 Creation Date: 20-dec-2002 Expiration Date: 20-dec-2004 the registrant is the 3rd party company... i have billing contact status only... but the registrant email is my own email.. how to solve this?

Hey,
Since all the contact details point to you (and you are the administrative contact), all you have to do is go to another registrar and ask them to 'transfer your domain'. It's a simple process - similar to registering a new domain. The registrar will then send an email to the administrative contact to verify and confirm the transfer. However, be sure to transfer before your domain expires. AFAIK, you can't transfer a domain during the grace period.

Hi Apit,
What kkhosting said is right. You can transfer your domain to a different registrar if your current registrar is not good. But from your original post, I don't think that's your intention or I'm wrong. If you just want to change hosting company, you don't have to change registrar. Anyway, best is to let us know exactly what is it that you want, then we can help ...

hmm maybe you can try malaysia register company webnic.cc If you really need others regfly- paypal i can help send me money at maybank or pbebank then i will send you money in paypal. others- also can help if the company not store my cc info (no godaddy= thy store cc info) What's your choice ?
