I am going to create a blog site about mac tips and news. Will I get into trouble if I use "apple" or "mac" word in my domain name?

I read Apple copyright and trademark guidelines. Is it okay to use "apple" or "mac" domain name if I have "Proper Trademark Notice and Attribution" on the website?

I think it's ok as long as you're not "misleading" your readers and you put a disclaimer which says that "you're not affiliate to Apple" with a link to Apple.com

Apple is more suitable for 2 reasons:

- it covers everything under the Apple brand while Mac is just the OS.
- "Apple" has 4,000,000+ searches a mth compared to 1,000,000+ for "Mac"

Here are the suitable names that I found:

appleblogger.org, appleblogs.org and applepro.org - .org is prefereed because you are a non-profit organization, it's a more trusted extension and it's given higher weightage bt SEs.

i think mac doesn't really care. microsfot doesn't either. there're lots of domain names with the word "mac", "ipod", "windows", "xp", etc. around and they didn't take any action against those sites. if you use .org, you're even safer. .org is so obvious that it's not meant to impose their website.
