.eu or .co.uk domain

I'm interested on getting a .eu or a .co.uk domain (might just get one of them, or even both depending on price) but not sure how to obtain them. Anyone knows how do I purchase such domains?

.co.uk will set you back about $15 US.
.eu is quite expensive and you need to be an EU resident or company.

Well, I have a friend in the UK. He is willing to use his name and address as a registrant. But of course I will have to fork out the money.

So the registrant is not an issue here. The cost is.

Friend or no friend, you are better off owning the domain yourself.

Given a choice, I would go for the .eu

I have no problems with the friend, I've known him since I was in college

Anyway, I am really inclined towards .eu but according to a previous poster it is expensive. The question is, how expensive? If it is too expensive then I would have no choice but to go for a .co.uk domain which according to the poster is USD15 (RM55), which is okay by me since I am paying RM55 for one of my .org domains

.eu domains are 18 Euros at EuroDNS (http://www.eurodns.com/).

...or a list of all accredited .eu registrars: http://list.eurid.eu/registrars/List...rs.htm?lang=en

I went to www.xe.com and the conversion rate is that 18 Euros = RM81, which is not bad, considering that I was expecting much higher. This is cheaper than even MYNIC domains

Thanks for the info, I will look into it.

I realized Exabytes do offer at $14.65 (can find it in their domain page :http://www.exabytes.com/products/domain/price.html ). Not sure about the process though. I don't think you need a europe address by the way.
