Many MySpace websites are trying to sell their domain before getting into legal problem. Don't get con, thinking of getting a cheap sales. Most of the MySpace sites traffic are dropping...check the traffic stats for few months before you jump into it. Furthermore don't Register/Buy any Domain name with "MySpace". Eg: Freemyspacelayouts.com, myspacebackground.com etc.

If using the other brand name as part of domain names is to made illegal, and assume that those company would take legal action, this would create chaos.

Imagine how many domain names containing ipod, apple, mac, microsoft..and so on. Are they in danger of legal threads too?

From what I see, the company reserved the rights to open a lawsuit or not. It's their choice. However it is better to play safe then not.
