Domain with Godaddy?
Hello to all Malaysian Webmasters....
Can I ask a You all a question? How many of you registered domain with Godaddy and also built website with the domains that you have at Godaddy? The answer is VERY important...I will tell later why...

Few years ago, yes. Until I found better registrar (domainsite and namecheap), I'm parting godaddy.

i heard some bad story from malaysian those using godaddy before.. and i never try their service yet.

Guys, I think its important you know about Godaddy policies...
Just cast your vote , cos then it would give a better picture of how many Malaysians actually use them...I think should be alot among webmasters... Well, I said I would tell the reason why...I dont think many people know know of this....but it could potentially affect millions of people in this part of the world... The answer is perhaps a yes or no...If you have a money making website and your domain is with them....then maybe it will be "complicated"... CHECK THIS PAGE OUT ON THEIR SITE http://help.godaddy.com/article.php?...19&topic_id=&& I think that is disturbing, even if you dont use their hosting which many of us dont anyway... Lets suppose this scenario...your website is doing well, established,...making money...can they (Godaddy) not suddenly turn around and say "You are violating their TOS and shut you down or seize your domain/prevent transfer?? Now, looks like they just keeping quiet...cos they know they are making money from many people this part of the world....but you never know... I think this policy is related to extremist right hand/ left hand group in the US who have a big influence on Bob Parson (the owner and CEO)...I would guess...and all that 9/11 aftermath... Behind all the advertistments....I dont know...I have many domains regged there...but luckily no big website which I depend on... I would transfer them away (the valuable ones) and to think I trusted them and recently just transfered domains into them...  I just dont think they can be trusted...and for that matter...u be concerned too...as to WHAT is the meaning of this..Opinions sought....THIS IS SERIOUS

yeah, that's the thing.
Godaddy's CEO Bob Parsons last year announce in his blog that he "support" torturing. Read more in this post: http://www.darrenbarefoot.com/archiv...s-torture.html In which the internetsphere has launched a series of attack to him and he already deleted his own post. That happened last year june 2005. Their porn girl advertising at superbowl also obviously piss people off. They are a very controversial company, using various way to get those marketing buzz, they suck but nonetheless, they are the no.1 registrar in the world.
