I have bought 2 domains from 2 different webhosting companies. One is just park there and another one has a website with it.

I have some questions, is it possible the webhosting companies do not allow me to renew the domain? FYI, the parked domain has my name as contact person in WHOIS, but the one with website, the contact in WHOIS is the webhosting company.

Can I renew the domain with other registrars? Will the webhosting companies now refuse to transfer the domain for me?

do you mean you do not have the login information for domain name panel? This is not good.

Anyway, I think any good webhosting company CANNOT refuse to transfer your domain name to other domain registrar. If the company refuse, tell us the company name and we will do something.

btw, some webhosting companies giveaway free domain name with hosting account, but they hold the domain name information. So, make sure you get all the information when you register a domain name. This is very important to ensure you don't get into similar trouble(difficult to switch domain registrar) later.

It is a possible. Hence it is best you have your own WHOIS information on all the domain name, and has the control to lock/unlock the domain name.

To renew the domain name with other registrar, you must first:

1) Request your web hosting company to change the administrative contact to your own information (especially the email address)

2) Unlock the domain name

If your domain name is org/biz, you might require the AUTH code too for transfer.

Yes, I do not have login information into my domain control panel. Since I register my domain and webhosting together, I just have login information to access my website control panel.

well, you need to get the login information from your hosting company.

You may try to request to your current registrar whether they provide domain manager or not. As i know register under ENOM doesn't have domain manager. Sorry i'm not sure about that because never buy from there. But few of my clients bought from ENOM they do not have domain manager.
