Anyone use whois protect for your domain names? If yes, you always protect all of your domain names or just certain only? Is whois protect important for you?

so far i purchase 1 domain at name cheap.com and it provide free pivacy protected service. so i use it!

i not so sure what the term of protection that is! but what i know is people will not know who is the owner of the domain and not able to contact u! corect me if i am wrong!

but i am not understand if our domain is protected and one day our domain become popular and some other big company wanna to buy our domain! then how do they contact us?

There use to be a scam where a domain name reseller would send an invoice to domain owners (using whois data) requesting them to renew their domains (at a premium price) with the reseller. This would also cause the domains to be transfered to the reseller.

I think that whois privacy is a good service for individuals that don't want to make their personal details available to anyone who performs a whois on their domain. However, Internic requires that a person should be able to contact the owner of the domain by the details provided by a whois. Most whois privacy providers usually forward emails received to the domain owner to comply with this requirement.

The email listed in the WHOIS guard service will automatically redirect all the emails to your personal email address

I think if for personal use or not plan to resell then whois protect may useful, but if about to resell then turn on whois protect may slow down the process.
