I think we soon will need this thread to discuss the good and bad about the maybank debit card, can or can't verify or withdraw paypal and more issues. I will go to register it on this monday, will keep this thread update.

maybank debit card? do u mean the atm card?

Don't think it can support PayPal withdrawal. I thought PayPal withdrawal is only to Credit Card?

It's the latest maybank cash card called Maybankard Visa Debit. It's a 2 in 1
card that has the capability of an ATM card and at the same time a Visa Debit
card for shopping locally and internationally as well as withdraw form over
1million ATM worldwide.

I've already applied it and it took 20minutes to get one. I've tried to registered it with paypal, but it seems that it can't be added.. not yet...

paypal can accept debit card also..u can key in ur debit card account into it..and can make withdrawal also...

by the way, do u know the charges of maybank debit card?? lik PB debit card will require u to deposit rm25 into ur account...

So far as of yesterday, I wasn't able to add Maybank Debit Visa to paypal.
It was denied by the bank. Word is that maybank is not allowing this card for
Paypal yet.

I don't think there's any min requirement in the maybank debit visa. It's
directly linked to your maybank savings/current account. Not like PB debit
card, which requires a min of RM25.

If you already have a Maybank account, it only cost RM 12 to change your
current Maybankard Bankcard to Maybankard Debit Visa.

If you don't have a maybank account, then you have to open an account.
You will automatically get the Maybankard Debit Visa card.

just saw the ads in today newspaper...as far as im concern there is no yearly fees for this card...*drools*

eventhough maybank debit visa still don't accept paypal, i believe later they will accept also..by the way only cost one time rm12, is a must hav la to me..

hope they can do it very soon la..but the card that i've applied got verification number behind...don know can or not..mayb i will try to do online payment and see...
