Is Paypal suck? - 08-04-2008, 05:02 PM

Hi
Below is just a quick share from me regarding to the Paypal
After doing research around the net, I found lot of complaint from paypal users, Common issue:
1) Paypal close their user account without reason
2) Paypal frequently set access limitation to their account when processing for withdrawing, sending money, sell product.....

I also found this site
Code:
paypalsucks.com
, I feel bad after reading all those negative comments about paypal...

Moreover, I also found paypal alternative suggestion from CNN

Code:
money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/fsb/0802/gallery.paypal_alternatives.fsb/index.html
Hope that anyone can share their experience of using paypal, are you holding good paypal experience or bad experience? in terms of withdrawing, sending, selling......

PayPal works ok for me.
They are fast in sending and receiving money and most importantly, they are widely accepted.

Well we can't have everything in life. There will good and bad points about the system, but Paypal has grown and it is the most reliable so far.

The only it sucks is their high fees!

Paypal is our lifeline - 09-05-2008, 05:42 PM

We get half our income from Paypal - nearly all overseas customers. Very rarely, a Malaysian customer uses it. We see a lot of failed Paypal checkouts from Malaysian IPs, but we think it's because Paypal doesn't allow Malaysians to use a credit card without a Paypal account. Customers from other countries can.

ya... there are strict... when they suspect something they will ask for more info like a copy of utility bill and some banking slip... just comply with them and they will lift the ban....

anyway... this is a good practice by them coz it just save themselve and us(user) from fraudster ...

Especially when Malaysia (was once) famous for fraud case, you can understand why these guys are so paranoid. If you're ever slapped with Limited Access Account, this should help -> PayPal Limited Account Access Solution

Yea, you can't use paypal in Malaysia. Also there are other payment portal that doesn't suck so much.

If you think paypal is sucked, just use other merchant like moneybookers.
