Question Online Purchasing Using Malaysia Credit Card?

First of all, I do not own or use any credit card before. So, bear with me if I asked stupid question here.

Ok, I have a friend who want to do online purchasing. The website support 2CheckOut and MoneyBookers. Both online payment processing required Card Security Code(CVV Code).

AFAIK, all local credit cards of my friend does not have the code, I think(I just had a glance on them).

Here come my question:
Can my friend still do online purchasing WITHOUT the CVV Code?
(2CO website said, "If your card does not have a verification number, try another card or enter the number 000.")

Note: Here is more information about CVV Code.

Thank you very much.

I just had a check. Local bank credit cards should have the CCV too (I checked a RHB card). I believe the code is available on VISA and MC, regardless the bank.

I've been using my card online for AirAsia and they DO ask for the code. So I think it's safe to assume that most local credit cards do have it, if they are MC or VISA.

Oh, and don't let your friends 'glance' on your CCV It's like the PIN for your ATM.

about the cvv, it is needed by most of the site as security control. It is printed at the back of card. I not really sure if your friend's card do not have cvv. My one have cvv printed at back.

Even the ikobo visa electron that i get last time also have cvv.

You can enquiry your bank.

Recently Moneybookers have added the new function to fax to foreign country at the rate of about $0.50. But irritated problem come out, i want to attach file to fax, and it seems to not allowed. so ma fan.

Hi Guys, do you know how much price is just doing the common fax using our telephone line? i scared if it is too expensive.

Need to pay meh?!

I use modem to send fax without subscribe any fax service from telekom. The fax software even build-in Windows already!

It charge for the duration you dialed, just like normal phone call. Charge depend on the location and duration.

isn't that the 4 digit number behind the card?

every card usually has that 4 digit either front or back of the card.

I saw my previous month's phone bill.. I'm not surprised with the amount; partly fax calls to 03 numbers

I wonder if Telekom have itemized billing for local calls? But i guess it won't make any difference anyway. Calling from Sarawak to KL with fix line are as expensive as using mobile phone.

LCF : isn't fax calls are charged the same as voice calls?

fax & voice = same charge - depends on how long does it take to send a fax

fax to oversea using fixed line should not be so expensive la.. do it at night...
