Can anyone teach me how to run a web forum?

I don't know how to run it like this web site.

What I need to do ? Do I need to raise some question?

it depends what forum u r setting up....

well first u have to decide which

forum u r going to use...

phpbb

invision

vbulletin (like this one)

smf

etc...

phpbb is free...

but in my opinion v bulletin
is best..the latest 3.03 version


after deciding on what forum to use
than u got to set
categories....sub categories...
etc....

and it's important to choose a good
moderator.....

if not when your forum becomes famous...u r going to get head-ache...

look for a hosting provider with Installtron or Fantastico. Both have click and install forums and do not need any technical knowledge.

I am using phpBB.

And do not know what category and sub category to place?

For a new forum, normally topic is raised by user or moderator or administrator?

What is the function of a moderator? And what is a moderator?

Generally is - How to manage a forum ? Because I dunno how to manage a forum at all.
