Debit card for online payment

I wanted to know anyone of you here uses Visa Electron debit card or MasterCard electronic debit card to make online payments through 2checkout or worldpay (or any other merchant services).

Please let me know from which Bank do you apply your Visa Electron/ Master electronic as well. I have few of this cards with BSN Matrix, Public Bank, Copal.. mainly just for ATM and Petrol.

simple actually...

1. go to public bank..tell them u want a debit card

2. have to pay Rm 25 (fees)

3. wait for 2-3 weeks

4. collect card..and have to bank in Rm 25 again (Rm 25 must always be in your debit card account) i dunno why..it's their terms..

5. use it anywhere that has a "visa" logo

You dont even have to have an account at public bank, because

debit card account and savings/current account are completely diffrent

*Since it is debit card, it is reasonable that the card must has remain credit($$$) anytime.

From what I am understanding, you can use debit card just like the way you are using a credit card. The different is only that one is "debit", another is "credit".

Did you successful "Add Credit Card" to your paypal account using the local bank debit card?

I have a Maybank ATM card, with Visa Interlink logo at backside. There is no "Expired date" and "Card Verification Number" on my card.

Is it debit card? Do I need to register another card - debit card?

Thank you.

Okay, I know tat...
But wat I'm trying to say is tat... can I use the Public Bank Visa Card with Paypal...?
Does the card have the date expiry and the 3 CVV code?
Tat's the most important parts tat should exist in any credit/debit cards, isn't it??
But some debit cards don't have em'... Just take BSN Matrix for example... It doesn't come with the 3 CVV code and because of tat, it cannot be used for online shopping!!
Hope I made it clear...

ok here goes...

when u want to open a paypal account you will need

the expiry date of your debit card......and the numbers behind the card

than paypal will charge u $ USD 1.99...just to activate your account and
prove that u are the owner of the card (security measures)

the $ 1.99 will be given back to you once it is confirmed.
so this is what happen to me:

1. open paypal account with debit card

2. charged $ 1.99

3. had to wait for 3 weeks to receive card statement

4. in the debit card statement was a special pin number that is required to activate your paypal account

5. so all in all it takes around 1 month to activate account.....so go and do it now!!!...hahaa

Ok, that means a REAL debit has both expiry date and the secure code. Thanks. I shall get mine soon.

Debit cards can be applied almost everywhere. BSN Matrix is 1 example of Visa Electron Debit card. Same goes for Public Bank or even Ikobo is also a debit card. Anything with Visa Electron or Mastercard Electronic is a debit card where accepted.

What I wanted to know is anyone tried to use debit card to purchase online directly by deducting your amount (such as airasia booking or ebay shopping for eg) and which card are you using.

Still no answer to the originating question. I am waiting to see this too.

Has anyone used a Malaysian issued Debit Card for payment on the internet, AirAsia etc? If so, which bank did you get it from? Also, does it have the 3-digit CCV security code number behind it?
