tried virtuemart and osCommerce, the one thing i like about virtuemart is that you can configure several user level to do the admin, whereelse OSC uses directory password to protect the admin area.
the only gripe and one major issue about virtuemart is the option to change currency on the fly for buyers. anyone has any workaround?

I have been using oscommerce for a long time, it nice with a lots of features but you need to have some basic skills in php do the modification. Currently using osmax less hassle most of the feature mod is pre installed.

If totally for online-shop, I more prefer for osCommerce because of its great features, simple but user friendly admin site, easy to install and etc..
Currently I'm creating some templates for osCommerce by manually open its source code and do customization on PHP script.. you can view my portfolio at shopbegins.com
