commerce site with google ads

What do you think of a commerce site that contain Google ads? Will you buy from them (either services or goods)? Such as web hosting site (different story for free hosting site that normally make revenue from the ads).

Don't think I will.

Google adsense on a commercial site will heavily affect its reputation to me :P

Don't think I will have any problems with it, as long as it is not too disruptive.

nope.. i would not buy from them...
for me, its seems like they are not genuine enough in selling their products.

Its just like walking into Jusco with a big Carefour ,Giant and Tesco super saving advertisement in their stores..

it looks pathetic to have competitor ads on their own business website. I would just feel that they are not selling their own products

This is interesting.

I never thought Adsense would have this kind of effect on e-commerce shoppers if the Adsense ads were placed in the e-commerce area itself. I can understand if the owner placed the ads in article pages and not the products page.

But here's another question, what if it weren't Adsense ads but ad space bought by advertisers. The ads aren't contextual but 90% of the time graphical banners to promote during the seasons?

Is this acceptable?

preferably not to have... why you want to change the focus of your visitor... they landed on your website because of interest on your product. by placing others adds... you could easily take them to others website and not buying your product at all....

once they landed on your website.... you wouldn't want them to be distracted and make them focus on your product instead.

you need to choose between selling your product or just selling advertisement banner. which one is better to you?
