    Question

Why most of the Malaysia e-commerce checkout (those I looked thru) doesnt have any security apply? For most foreign online shopping websites, they do use SSL... isnt it too risky not using that? Just my curiosity...

Successful ecommerce store, basically does a few things right.

The website is optimized, meaning search engine friendly, and they describe the web pages in a way that the GYM (Google, Yahoo, MSN) can easily understand and properly index it.

2ndly, they have bunch of incoming and outcoming links to relevant content or industry or forum or blog etc.

Just remember one thing, don't simply buy link in spammy link sites, RAQ (Relevancy, Authority, Quality) matters. link building takes time, be patient. persistence is the key.

Then their website must communicate TRUST, there are few ways that you can build high trust.

    Building Trust via Web Design
not necessarily must be pretty. but their targeted customer must like and feel comfortable with it. if you sell more generic items aka like a supermarket, then you might adopt even simpler design to suit a broad base of taste. Then if you sell baby products, then you bet your site must appear to be cute and liked by all the young parents esp the mother!

    Building Trust via Payment Type
The payment type they support also must communicate TRUST, how so? If you target, let's say UK, do you think they know what is Maybank2u? Use something that's recognized worldwide, eg paypal, worldpay, protx (uk) or whatever that is well known in that particular country.

So, you're using webshaper. Not very familiar with ASP scripts

Kinda curious abt ur invitation for other suppliers to post their products... how does that work? Your site actually selling on other suppliers behalf? How abt the shipping and stock?

Another thing, from the first impression, kinda confused what type of products your site specializes in. Maybe you can add a short intro paragraph in the body or to the page title. Or maybe a tagline in the header graphics.... but text is better for SEO lar.

I wonder how people using Paypal can receive the money from their buyers? Do they have a Singapore or Thailand address? Malaysia is not listed as one of their countries for receiving payment.

That is the reason why I opted for 2checkout because they have all the elements of building trust as mentioned. It is not expensive too - only US49 for one time payment. I can receive payment from International buyers using credit cards.

Uikszz... Itu dulu lah... Sekarang Malaysia dah bleh Verified Paypal... Using PB Debit, AlRajhi, EON Debit or AmBank GenX Debit or Credit Card...

Payment daripada Buyers / Customer dah bleh diterima. Takder masalah dengan Paypal ni pun... Nak keluarkan customer payment pun tak der lah lama sangat setakat tunggu 3 - 5 hari jer...

But there a lots of headache running your on ecommerce website like handling stocks, payment, staff, salary, tax and so on.
