egold have transaction fees like paypal but their rate is much cheaper. You be charged a fees only when you receive egold in your account. You won't be charged for transferring egold out.
you can checkout their fees at http://www.e-gold.com/fees.html their fees based on the weight (in grams) of gold which till now i still can't figured out how its actually calculated... |

i had use e-gold for few years already..you can easilly exchange it from egold exchanger here in Malaysia..i would recommend r2gold..they're registered company at SSM. Yeah, the charge is a lot cheaper than paypal..but be carefull with who you trade with coz i don't think egold has a refund feature like paypal..''once it go out, it never come back''..hope that can help you..

paypal and e-gold charge you a fees for receiving funds only. You won't be charged for sending/paying from your account.. the receiver will be charged instead..
for paypal fees please refer to the below url: http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...y-fees-outside for e-gold fees please refer to the below url: http://www.e-gold.com/fees.html Last edited by iamfreelancer; 07-03-2007 at 12:38 PM. Reason: typo err |

yes there are fees for accepting funds from egold.. but remember that the amount in egold will change according to the gold price market. So it is totally different from paypal because you won't have an exact amount in your egold account.
you can also consider egold as an investment as well because you are investing in the gold market. ![]() |
