    eCommerce Payment Gateway

Many merchants are confused about how to accept credit cards online through an ecommerce payment gateway. While similar to offline processing, online credit card processing has a few minor differences -namely the way the information is transmitted. Instead of swiping a customer's card through a credit card machine, the card information is entered in a form online and sent electronically over the Web through an ecommerce payment gateway. The credit card processing company takes the information, runs a myriad of fraud checks, and then sends the transaction back as either an approval or decline. If the transaction is approved, the money is usually deposited into the merchant's bank account with two business days.

Last time my company is using SWREG as our payment gateway. SWREG provides many features and analysis but the charges is abit high. they supports alot currency. But because of the VAT issue, we decide to change our gateway to a local gateway. SWREG is charging VAT at their website and when the goods is send to euro country another VAT is charged. Is double charged and we have to bare the charges and SWREG doesnot give a solution on this matter.

So we change our gateway to IPAY88 a local payment gateway. although their charges is low but... compare to SWREG, local payment gateway give me a feeling that they only collecting money and take 3% from your payment. It says that they support USD and other currencies but please take good attention on this matter because the way of understanding is very much differents.

    this is my 2 cens..

I have used moneybookers, it has merchant account too. Besides, withdrawing money back to your malaysia bank account such as Maybank is easy, direct transfer and cheap!

For Malaysia merchants aiming to give convenience to Maybank account owners.

Maybank has a program known as eFPX.
