what does it actually mean by email marketing? what sort of task we perform in email marketing??? do we need to spam for this technique????

frm my knowledge, email marketing is emails that r being sent on the Internet with the purpose of doing business...

normally, we oso receive mail regarding on convincing customers to buy something... can be said an advertisement frm company...

it is paper free and more cheaper way to giv info to customer ...

by the title of it i knew the rough concept loh...

but what is the S.W.A.T. involved for this kind marketing strategies????

I have use before email marketing 2 year ago...

I have create a simple website to help my relative promote a direct sales product and this website host at geocities (That time dono what is domain and hosting yet)

I have use the yahoo email account to send a lot of email out... i think this is the reason consider SPAM already and yahoo close my account... I loss the website too...

If you send out huge amount of email at the same time, posible your IP will be black listed

People unfamiliar wif email marketing often wonder wat all the fuss is bout...

thru email marketing,it will allows targeting, drives direct sales, builds relationships, loyalty and trust...

Email marketing is basically using emails to:

1. Market a product/service.
2. Generate internet traffic.
3. Create an awareness.
4. Stay up to date.
5. Remind customers of your company.
6. Convert more leads/sales.
7. Educate users.
8. Send out promotions.

And some others I might have missed. But generally, email marketing is a form of online marketing strategy. Not as fast paced as viral marketing but it's the same form of channel as those printouts you find in your residential mailbox.

Just that email marketing in some countries are more effective than printouts because no one reads printouts anymore.

Email marketing however doesn't equal to spamvertising. Like some companies who God knows gotten your email from where sends you something you're really not interested in. And worst of all, they don't even have an unsubscribe function.

So yeah...that's email marketing.

Email marketing - as its name says is marketing using email (not so fancy huh?).

The basic mechanics behind it is that you collect the emails from your website visitors and email them your offer or anything related to your niche.

For example, if you are blogging or have a website about "breeding an arowana fish", you put a subscription box where your website visitors can leave their name and email in exchange for some kind of information that you offer. This information could be in the form of an e-course about arowana, an e-book or just simply a permission for you to send out more information on the website whenever you update it.

People who are interested about arowana will definitely like to be updated about anything related to this fish and they will allow you to send more emails to them. Of course, you want to also include a note saying that by filling up the webform that you put on your website, they allow you to send more emails in the future.

Then, when you get their names and emails, it becomes your goldmine.

You can send out the product that you promised immediately (e-course or e-book) or update them with current activities you have on your website. From here, you can also send out advertisements on the products related to arowana, and since this group of people are really arowana lovers, there is a high chance that they'll buy the products that you recommend (or advertise).

If you are the product owner or an affiliate for the products that you recommend to this mailing list, you will generate an income from sending out your emails. This is because, in the eyes of the people in your mailing list, you are an expert in arowana or at least a person that they can trust enough to buy your product recommendation.

So, that is basically how it works.

And the next question will be how to create a webform to collect names and emails of your website visitors?

Subscribe to GetResponse or Aweber autoresponder service and they'll be able to provide a service where you can build a database of subscribers of customers for you. These services are not free and they charge you on a monthly basis but if you can quickly build a mailing list that churns out money for you, your income will cover the cost of your autoresponder services already.

As for how to build a webform to be added inside your website, you can log in to Aweber or GetResponse members area and follow a few easy instructions on how to set it up.

Oh yea... almost forgot... there is also a free autoresponder service that you can use for building your mailing list, and I recently created three videos to explain how you can set it up for free. These videos are for my team members but I share them with the world too. Although it has lots of ads, it will be a great place to learn about autoresponder.
