Why uploading avatar disabled???
how come cannot upload avatar???? not fun.....

Hello kahsoon,

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry for the late reply.

We have disabled custom avatar upload as that will increased the server loads. You can imagine what will happends when there are 1000 members with different avatars.

Anyway, if you have any nice sets of avatar to share with, please email me and I will upload to the avatar sections.

hmmmmm....

Custom avatars has never been a problem on any other forum... sometimes images in signatures is not allowed, but never custom avatars.

I'm new to this site, and don't want to sound like I'm complaining, but how can users add personality to themselves when they can't even set their own avatar. Surely a small image wouldn't dramatically increase server bandwidth? Anyway, you do have some avatars available - surely they would cause similar bandwidth problems, every time they are loaded.

Just make sure avatars that users upload are resized automatically by the system, and the file size won't be that much of a problem.

I personally think avatars are one of most important elements of a successful forum... so, please bring them back...!

Hello c41um,

Thank you for your feedback, bandwidth is not the main reason we turn custom avatar off but due to server load. By turning on custom avatar, there will be additional query performed.
