Suggested by Kawan at this post, it's true we need to reorganize the webmaster malaysia moderating team.

We will be running a series of promotion of this forum, several upcoming contests, and we are looking to make this forum the number one webmaster forum in Malaysia. Hence, we need a group of serious, committed and active moderating team.

Currently, the active moderating team is as below:

starsearcher, mysticmind and myself.

Most of the other moderators are either inactive, do not login for a long time, or seldom sign in.

Actually we do not need many moderators, we only need moderators that willing to commit time to help out others here. Mysticmind and I voted Kawan to be in the moderating team.

I have proceeded to PM all the other moderators, and we will welcome them if they want to rejoin our active moderating team.

Please feel free to voice out your opinion here on reorganizing the moderating team. Thanks.

In addition to my previous post, here is the requirement and responsibility for a moderator:

1) Willing to share his/her knowledge and help out others.

2) At least login to the forum few times a week.

3) Able to create new threads for anything worth discussion.

4) Making sure members are abiding the rules.


In return, the moderators will be given free hosting account by Exabytes.

You should choose moderator those have been long-time attached, respected and especially level-headed members.

We'd love to. But choice is not any option here. Meaning, we don't get to "choose". We are happy if there's someone experienced (in the webmaster field) and willing to commit his/her time to help out.

hi.

first off, i would welcome limcs as the new administrator.

ok. i admit it. i haven't logged in for a while. and neither have i contributed much to the forum in a long time.. apart from removing a spam thread once in a while.

i'll admit that my interest waned for a few reasons but mainly because i found that "intellectual discourse" in a forum environment for was hard for malaysians. invariably we fall into the trap of asking the same questions over and over again, not bothering to do even the most basic of research or even googling for answers before we post a question in here.

but if limcs would have me, i would gladly join as an active member. internet connectivity isn't a problem for me now as it was in the past, now that i've gone back to designing.

and that free hosting sure sounds good. heh.

May be in the future, but not now, since the forum (and daily posting amount) is not that huge yet. Thanks for the suggestion though

lately, the spammer post is similiar to a normal post. need to check their link first.. duh.. limcs, is there's any option to avoid 'newbie group' posting an active link?

aha, great move to avoid those spammers, but ,maybe you can set it up to 20 posts? to ensure that those who really stick with this foru, can advertise in it. just my opinion.
