60 seconds between posts...
60 seconds is far too long. Maybe for a new member it's okay, but I get fed up waiting after two or three posts and go to another forum. Can you reduce the limit to 15 seconds for those with a bit of rep or post count?
The following errors occurred when this message was submitted: 1. This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between posts. Please try again in 55 seconds.

Is there's any option to set like this? :
User Level Newbie = wait 45 seconds above than 30 post = 30 second above than 100 post = 15 second above than 200 = 2second? Theory : The more post mean active member, and know what to do.. and should be real member, not spammer. ![]() because, doing this actually to avoid spammer and spam post. there's many spam post to be delete everyday. by this week, it's about 15 spam (BUY PHONE) post has been deleted by myself.. they register = spam the board ( 5 - 10 same post) = blah. And i also BAN most of them, but seem they repeat doing register in other name (and email?) .. ermmm... Fighting spammer is pain btw. |

Wei 10-30 seconds more than enough.
I tend to use several windows and reply pretty fast & try to limit my time per website. Why not just write a script to detect redundant then auto-block it @ forums? Not many ppl. can online a lot, and if set too long might bcm not user-friendly and shoo away users. |

if you could make the the member with above certain amount of post to have certain priviledge, that would be a great solution.
like what you have said, user which had posted more than 30 or 50 post should know what they're doing, spammers are usually new registered member who are trying to make some free ads. just restrict these new user with limit such as post per day, post interval etc yeah, spam are annoying |

Great! I made a difference
![]() It's lovely not to have to keep waiting to refresh... I type quickly and it's definately under a minute before posts.

I think the spam is reducing bit by now. Or, are them all being deleted by you before I notice them?

There is probably a vB add-in which can set variable flood-limits.
