Automated file transfer

I want to automate the file transfer from a remote site to my pc over a WAN. Can anyone please suggest an industry standard secure file transfer tool for a windows environment?

I am looking for an industry accepted, more secure than traditional FTP.

it depends on the service provider.

Usually linux servers, the best bet is using SSH as a mode of transfer.

Another non traditional FTP is sFTP or secured FTP. You may need to check with your provider should they have such services installed on their server.

Recommended SSH client and sFTP is WinSCP.
