yep... is there a free hosting in malaysia? the server locates in malaysia and everything in malaysia. if anyone knowz, let me know.
i really need our local host. international host usually deal with europe copyright law. but malaysia doesnt right???? thats the greatest bout being hosted by our local host provider am I right?

You must be joking, seriously. All webhosts deal with international copyright law, both in Malaysia and abroad. Besides, with the agreements made by Malaysia it is now even easier for you to be sued by any foreign copyright holder...

Stay very very far away from infringing other people's copyrights.

every host deals with copyright laws, even those allowing adult contents, they only allow legal contents.

i actually wanted to store mp3s. but some host doest allow me to do so. thats why i wanted to migrate to local host.

Many hosts will say no mp3 files because they don't want the fuss of checking your copyright authorisations, especially for free hosting. That and the fact that very very few people actually have that authorisation.

You will not find a single webhost in the world which allows you to host MP3 files which you do not hold copyright authorisation to redistribute in that format for.

I have been involved in webhosting in the past and upon finding any illegal goods it was standard to issue the $500US fine as specified in our terms of service, notify the RIAA and close the hosting account immediately.

really, im talking bout LOCAL mp3s not the international or the american songs.
i guess RIAA and that bucks $500US got nothing to do with me at all. since RIAA is only legal with anything got to do with america. local as in malaysian songs got nothing to do with RIAA nor MPAAA

RIAA = Recording Industry Association of America

but then malaysia also has copyright law.

it's the same situation where you bought a cd and u lend it to your friend. we're only sharing. yep. it just that, world has change to cyber world and sharing has change to cyber sharing.

if we make this kinda statement at the front page of our website or index page and who dont agree may leave as they please, we safe our butt.hmm..... i think our local file sharing is not at the worst compared to pirated cds we see in night market isnt it?.pirated cds are totally illegal coz they are unauthorized to make money over the cds. while i just wanted to "share". i dont make money of it.
