How to create a moving picture/Gif - What tools to use

Hi guys,

its me again, a newbie in website/portal design,
my portal/website is at zarul(dot)layparkcorner(dot)com . please visit and comment a bit,

further more, i need to add a few moving picture/gif files to add a sparks or atraction to the portal. also, how to create, if i want to create a start page like a moving picture at the first page before go to main page (if you know what i mean- something like flash, but i hope i can use other things than flash because i dont know how to use flash)

also i want to add a song/background sound to my portal,

in total, the question:

1- what tools to use to create a moving picture (Gif files)
2- how to create a moving picture before access to first page
3- how to add background sound to my portal - using Joomla CMS
4- do visit my portal and give comment zarul(dot)layparkcorner(dot)com

I suggest U to learn flash animation bcos..

gif is too heavy for an introduction page..

flash is much more easier to build & load faster

btw an animation on Ur 1st page does not spark.. I wil click away from Ur site immediately

i just use.. gifanimated software (gifan) to create an animated gif..
gif file is actually very light but not good in color because they have limite the color especially on windows base (becoz window rezerve some color)..
but the basic idea is few pic, combine together, make it animated..

if you interested in animated gif banner, just do it in PS(photoshop)

go to Window-Animation,then animation panel will popup..create that animated banner or moving picture..

Flash...by using the tutorial..it would be sufficient..
but unless you are onto something serious like ActionScript...
then you need to look else where for guidance

use it IF you need too.
dont use it for something not important..

remember.. slow loading = people will close and leaving your site.

agreed..
i'll leave straight away if the web use heavy flash on startpage..
