hi..i've a big problem in using the pen tool in photoshop..anybody can help me??any url that i can refer??i'm newbie in this field..TQVM

So, what is your "big problem"?
(if you do not describe your problem, how do others help you?!)

i want to create a header something like a wave...i've tried to use pen tool but failed..i've refer to some tutorial but still doesn't work..do u know any tutorial that shows step by step clearly?TQ

Can you please link to the tutorial? Or an example of the image you're trying to achieve? Please be more specific.

it's normal for newbie.everybody struggles with the pen tool at the beginning...

BUT..practise makes perfect..

no amount of tutorial will help...just keep practising

untuk tidak membuatkan ko patah hati..
aku bagi la sikit.. at least sesuatu yang bleh buat ko paham sikit tool BEST nih..


try refer kat pic nih.. or attachment bawah nih..

Point 1 .. adalah tempat ko letak pen mula2..

Point 2.. dimana ko letakkan mata pen kemudiannya.. (JANGAN LEPAS DULU!.. HOLD atau tenyeh/press button mouse tuh... dan drag kat bawah.. KO akan nampak dia jadi melengkung... (cursor duduk di point BIRU / 4 tuh.. )

pastuh ko release pen..

Jika ko letakkan mata pen di point 3 (ungu) ... dia akan jadi satu lengkungan seperti rajah A.

Jika ko matikan dulu point 2 punya hujung.. dan letak semula di point 4 dia jadi macam rajah B..
cara nak matikan satu2 point punya hujung (continues point.. ) tekan ALT + klik pada tgh2 point..
(hampehhs!! susah nak terang mesej2 nih.. !!! )

Pening? Try and error beb!.. aku pun belajar sendiri jer..
takder masalah pun.. :P

kalau ko completekan satu bentuk sampai pada 1 pont mula2.. dia jadi ... selection.. atau path yang mana = 1 bentuk ..

Pen tool mmg sikit susah nak paham..
sebenarnya tuh la tool paling best..

sebenarnya ramai lagi orang.. walaupun dah lama guna photoshop. pastuh bleh buat itu ini..
tapi sampai ke pentool = kantoi..
ramai sangat sebenarnya.. cuma = TAK MAHU MENGAKU TAK PANDAI saja..

aku? = aku pandai.. hehe siap leh ajar orang lagi tuh

Itu terpulang pd. version illustrator & photoshop yang anda guna.
Actually Illustrator is a better tool if you want to really draw/illustrate in detail esp. their latest version with the cun features.

If you ever want to edit something e.g. when you use pen and want to adjust the features e.g color, opacity, style, point size, or brush style.
In photoshop you can go >> to layers straight away usually or the tools window.

In Illustrator >> Window (at the top bar menu) >> drop down list :- select which ever then it will appear at your workspace (stage). But by default, those features should appear at workspace or you can reset back to the original >> Windows >> Workspace >> Default.
“adjust fade,pressure,size” – boleh kat
Opacity : it adjust the visibility/pressure.
Brush : jenis brush : kasar, halus, lembut, patterns, etc.
& etc stroke : color for stroke and size etc. explore around that window.

If let’s say you did some changes at the feature.
But the changes tak jadi, then check if there’s “No Selection” kat the window.
It means the object isn’t selected to be edited.
If an object is selected, it will appear as “Path” means working path.

Do keep in mind, if you are using Illustrator, it will load much longer jadi sometimes if your Pc macam nak hang tu. No sweat, bagi di load/render lama sikit bagi dia process esp. if u wanna draw several things and tekan ini itu.

It will also help, if your Pc has less thn 1GB Ram thn try not to open too many applications. AND yes if you open photoshop and illustrator and dengar music etc. it can crash your Pc several times. (ini once upon a time lah masa 1gb tak wujud lagi di m’sia).

Another tip is the mouse.
Yes. Try to get a mouse which has a bit of rubber grip.
So it won’t be too slippery & thn lari when you try to click and or move to another side.
IF occur mistakes, then press Ctrl + Z – to undo even while the object is still active.
I would recommend for beginners to save their art works several times in different file, so their art works won’t over right the original copy esp. if that’s the one and only (asingkan).

Kalau ada extra budget then get walcom graphic tablet or stylus or whtever lightpen or etc tools.
Yups kinda costly but it’s good for ppl who want to draw a lot and have handling prob. wth mouse. But trust me, I’ve friends who works as animator and designers but just use mouse.

No matter what, just have fun.
Step by step and let your creative juice flow.
Kalau boleh try out the pen tool @ Flash v.8.
Pretty enjoyable to use.
Almost same, but once you use it.
U'll know the difference.
